How do I sign up for the Meals on Wheels program?

You can sign up for the Meals on Wheels program via phone by calling (509) 456-6597.

 

Are there certain qualifications for the program?

Yes, you must be over sixty and homebound. Income is not taken into account.

 

How much does the program cost?

Our program is free to the seniors we serve, however, if you are interested in donating we send out suggested donations at the end of the month.  

 

What meals do you provide?

We provide daily lunches that are delivered between the hours of 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

 

Do you deliver on weekends?

We deliver in advance for the weekends. Once a month you will receive eight frozen meals.

 

Can you make dietary accommodations?

Yes! We can accommodate certain dietary restrictions. For example, we can provide ground or pureed meals. We can also exclude certain foods such as, red meat, pork, chicken, seafood, spicy foods (such as Mexican food and chili), tomatoes, cheese, lentils, and pasta. We also provide Instant Breakfast, or Ensure with a doctor's prescription and suggested amount. Prescriptions can be faxed to 509-458-7623.

 

Are you connected to the Greater County Meals on Wheels?

While we are both Meals on Wheels programs, we are a completely separate entity from the Greater County Meals on Wheels.

 

What safety precautions do you take?

If there is no answer when we make the scheduled delivery to your home, we will check back within an hour or two of route completion. If there is still no answer we will reach out to the emergency contact.
