For Paws Sake

Because They Shouldn’t Have To Choose

Program Objective

After finding out that many seniors were still going hungry because they were sharing their meals with their pets, Meals on Wheels Spokane decided to find a solution. Our seniors need their pets to keep them emotionally healthy. Their pets are family, and keeping their best friends healthy is an important factor in combatting social isolation. Our For Paws Sake program aims to serve their furry friends so that they can focus on their own nutritional needs.

Pet Food Brands

All the pet food distributed is donated by many community partners as well as individuals with a passion for serving seniors and their pets. Because of their helpful donations we carry many different brands. Please contact the office regarding any questions or concerns about the pet food being delivered.

Our Welcome Kits

Welcome kits are given to clients with cats or dogs to help assist them with their beloved companions. New clients to the program receive hygiene products, toys, treats and other miscellaneous items selected to assist in caring for their animals.
